Some chess servers, such as Free Internet Chess Server aka FICS try to detect players who use chess engines to analyze moves.
I thought the detection was based on either 1) a player who makes moves that exceed his ratings level or 2) a player who is smart for 10 or 15 moves, copying “book” moves, then plays poorly.
Apparently, there are other criteria.
